International Academic Decathlon makes the premiere scholastic competition available around the world.

International teams from all over the world are invited to participate in the United States Academic Decathlon® (USAD). Students form a team, join the USAD International Program and prepare to compete!

International participation is based on USAD curriculum and standards. All high schools where the medium of instruction is English, and/or students have sufficient command of the English language are invited to participate.

USAD & USAP China 2019
USAP China 2019 will be held in Century City International Convention Center of Intercontinental Hotel & Resorts from Feb 11th to 14th.

USAD China 2019 will be held in Century City International Convention Center of Intercontinental Hotel & Resorts and Chengdu Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center from Feb 15th to 18th. 

USAD and USAP Nationals in the United States
At the U.S. Academic Decathlon® and Academic Pentathlon® national competitions, overall team awards and subject area medals will be presented in accordance with the following guidelines:
 
Overall Team Awards
The highest-scoring international team in each division will be presented with a first-place team trophy and accompanying banner if that team’s overall score is equal to or exceeds the score of the highest-scoring U.S. team in that division. The second-highest scoring international team in each division will be presented with a second-place team trophy and accompanying banner if that team’s overall score is equal to or exceeds the score of the first or second-highest-scoring U.S. team in that division. The third-highest-scoring international team in each division will be presented with a third-place team trophy and accompanying banner if that team’s overall score is equal to or exceeds the score of the first, second or third-highest-scoring U.S. team in that division. There will be no exceptions unless there is a tie.
 
 
Subject Area Medals
A gold medal will be awarded to an international participant if that student’s subject area score is equal to or exceeds the score of the highest-scoring U.S. participant in that subject area and division. A silver medal will be awarded to an international participant if that student’s subject area score is equal to or exceeds the score of the first or second-highest-scoring U.S. participant in that subject area and division. A  bronze medal will be awarded to an international participant if that student’s subject area score is equal to or exceeds the score of the first, second or third-highest-scoring U.S. participant in that subject area and division. There will be no exceptions unless there is a tie.
