In the Literature Resource Guide, in the table of contents and on page 29, Carwin’s first name should be spelled Francis, not Frances. And, on page 16, column 2, in the 4th line of the poem excerpt, “They” should be corrected to read “Thy.” The revised pages are here.

In the Science Resource Guide, page 38, column 2, in the equation in the 1st complete paragraph, the “K x g” in the numerator and denominator should be corrected to read kg (i.e., kilograms), so the equation reads as follows:

In the Science Resource Guide, page 32, column 2, in the last line of the 1st complete paragraph, the L in L-atm should be capitalized.
In the Science Resource Guide, page 75, paragraph 2, line 12, a set of parentheses should be inserted in the equation, so it reads: “(40 - 33) x 21 = 147”. The revised pages are here.
Please be aware that there will not be any competition test items on Figure 37 (page 27 of the Science Resource Guide) or the Lewis structure of SO3, as sulfur violates the octet rule in some compounds.

Social Science Resource Guide

In the Social Science Resource Guide, page 48, column 1, the 4th line of the 1st complete paragraph should read: “relationship between the colonies and Great Britain….” The revised page is here.

In the Social Science Resource Guide, page 38, column 1, paragraph 2, line 2, the estimated population of enslaved persons within the thirteen colonies should be corrected to read 500,000.
In the Social Science Resource Guide, page 51, column 2, 3rd complete paragraph, line 1 should read “delegates from five states.” This same correction should be made in the timeline on page 84, 4th entry from the bottom of the page, for September 1786.
In the Social Science Resource Guide, page 61, column 1, in the 4th sentence of the 2nd complete paragraph, the number of tie-breaking votes Adams cast should be twenty-nine.
In the Social Science Resource Guide, page 87, the date for the 6th entry from the top of the page should be October-December 1800. The revised pages are here.
