In the Music Resource Guide, on page 41, column 1, the 2nd sentence of the 3rd complete paragraph should read: “Because he found his earlier musical training … and was encouraged by the prominent Danish composer Niels Gade.

In the Music Resource Guide, on page 34, column 1, the 6th sentence of the last paragraph should be deleted, and the 5th and 7th sentences should be edited to read as follows: “The "a" idea remains almost completely absent for some time before returning later in the work.   Eventually Saint-Saëns combines the "a" and "b" ideas simultaneously!”

In the Music Resource Guide, on page 71, the last row of Table 3–3 should be deleted.

In the Music Resource Guide, on page 72, the first two sentences of the first non-italicized paragraph in column 1 should read: “The excerpt on your CD takes us through the fifteenth statement of the chaconne.  The music will fade with a French horn solo.”

In the Music Resource Guide, page 14, column 1, the 4th line from the top of the column should read: “… root and the third of the chord.”

In the Music Resource Guide, page 21, column 2, the last bullet point should read: “Typical articulations are separate (staccato), connected (legato), and accented.”
